GABF 2019 Preliminary Brewery & Beer Lists visualized

So far 700+ breweries are committed to pouring over 4,100 beers on the Colorado Convention Center floor at the Great American Beer Festival in October. Since there are over 7,000 breweries in the US of course there will be some overlap in brewery names. But who knew that (of this self-selected group) River, Mountain, Great, City, Street, Creek, Black, Park, and Red were such popular name components.

Of the 4,107 beers currently listed, 313 include the word IPA, 277 Ale, 131 Stout, and 111 Lager. I’m surprised by the prevalence of Brown, Saison, Amber, Rye, Milk, Peach, Mexican, and Blood.
