On Thanksgiving we welcomed our second daughter to the world. In December we moved from San José to San Diego. And in January I started at San Diego State University. I am not sure if I am starting to get more sleep or growing accustomed to sleepwalking. I rock side to side when standing up whether I’m holding a child or not. Suffice to say visiting breweries hasn’t been as big of a priority as it once would have been.
But, I did reschedule my Certified Cicerone© tasting exam for July and have been studying when I can. Between the Cicerone’s flashcards, Randy Mosher’s Tasting Beer, 2nd ed, and Chris Cohen’s Beer Scholar Study Guide I feel confident I will pass. Then I get to move on to studying for BJCP, cider judging, and maybe even BBQ judging. I’m also excited to join the local beer choir. And I am vowing to write more frequently. I have plans to spruce this place us. Stay tuned.

Cheers!
