SF Beer Week begins

Today is the start of the week-long celebration of all things beer throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Out of the hundreds of events over 10 days, I will for sure be attending one: the Opening Gala, where I’ll be volunteering, in the rain, taking the sold out crowd’s tickets.

I’m excited! Not only will I get to meet hundreds of local beer enthusiasts, but I’ll also get in for free, try some great beer, and meet some folks from 80-plus NorCal breweries. I’m hoping to talk with some beer writers and brewery old-timers about the early craft beer days.
